Japanese
I hope everyone had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We're already off to a fantastic start in the Japanese classroom!
Yr5/6 learning about Yurukyara
In Year 5/6, the students have been learning how to construct sentences to describe people and items by exploring the world of Yurukyara, Japan's adorable mascots that promote local areas, businesses, and organisations. By using the sentence structure "A is B" (AはBです, A wa B desu), and adding some adjectives, the students have selected local shops, businesses, or organisations and designed their very own yurukyara to promote them.
It has been wonderful to see their creativity shine, and their growing language skills are impressive! I’m excited to show these fabulous creations to the local business owners and organisations. Well done, Year 5/6!
Onigiri Action 2024
Join us for Onigiri Action 2024 from home! Our students will be making onigiri at school during the campaign, but we invite you to participate with your family as well. From now until November 15, every photo you upload of a homemade rice ball will provide five school lunches to children in Africa and Southeast Asia. It’s a fun, meaningful way to make a difference together! Snap a picture, share it, and help spread the joy of giving through food. Let's work together to make this campaign a success!
