Leadership @ MPS

Welcome to Term 4!

It has been lovely to hear that many families enjoyed quality time spent together over the holiday break. The children were certainly ready for a break at the end of last term and it has been wonderful to see faces that appear refreshed!

School Holiday Vandalism

During the first and last weekend of the school holidays, our school sustained some damage. Fortunately, our cameras recorded footage of youths attempting to break into the buildings, vandalizing our new greenhouse, and activating the fire hydrant, which also triggered our new pump system. This footage is now with the police, who are investigating the same young offenders responsible for damage on Were St during that time. If anyone is present at school after hours and witnesses antisocial behaviour, please don't hesitate to call 000. Thank you for your support!

2025 Class Structure

This week we sent out communication via Compass regarding the 2025 class structure. Please see Compass for more information or alternatively, you can read the correspondence below.

If you have information that may be pertinent to 2025 arrangements, please provide it via email by Friday, 25th October to janene.worsam@education.vic.gov.au

Requests beyond this date will not be considered.

Requests for specific teachers will not be considered.

World Teachers' Day

Ssshhhhh! Next Friday, 25th October is World Teachers' Day. This day is an opportunity to celebrate our teachers and thank them for all the work they do to educate, inspire and empower our Monty learners.  Please encourage your child to acknowledge this day in some way, shape or form!

Working Bee

Hopefully you've already marked Saturday, 26th of October from 8am - 12:30pm in your diaries for our upcoming working bee.

We understand that this time can clash with weekend sport commitments, making it hard for some families to get involved. In the past, we have alternated between Saturday and Sundays and we will continue to do this in the future. Unfortunately, we will never be able to make it work for everyone!  Thank you to those that are able to spend some time helping on this day.

Signage Update

To follow on from our recently completed new front entrance, we have organised some new signage to be displayed around the school. Keep your eyes open for some displays coming on the corrugated iron on the side of The Discovery Centre and our Administration Building as well as on the currently blank external wall to the side of our new double gate entrance. This should be installed by the end of November.
