School-wide Positive Behaviour

Dear Parents and Carers,

Grades 3 to 6 participated in Project Rocket workshops recently.  Feedback from students during and after the workshops was extremely positive.  Students at Mackellar expressed an understanding about behaviours that constitute bullying, and their social responsibilities to protect themselves and others around them learnt through our Expect Respect program.  Our students have also expressed confidence in seeking assistance from staff at school, knowing that their safety and wellbeing is a priority.

"When we all feel like we belong, bullying struggles to find a place. It's about embracing who we are, respecting everyone's differences and standing up together against unkindness.  Belonging means we all have a role in preventing bullying. We're encouraged to speak up and create a safe place where everyone feels supported and respected, and our voices are heard and valued."
