Thank you to everyone who attended our 2025 Christmas Concert and supported the wonderful MPRPSK students on stage! Every one of the performers should be proud of their efforts on stage, and we hope the community had a wonderful evening of festive cheer and a chance to catch up with other families on such a balmy evening.

As the year draws to a close, we are seeing group projects, shared performances and parallel learning tasks in the Performing Arts space start to finish up also. One of the highlights of this semester has been witnessing students work together to create, explore, and present in highly creative and collaborative ways.

The Senior students have been uploading their multi-sensory projects to SeeSaw, demonstrating how they weave together audio and visual elements to recreate traditional Dreamtime stories. Many have pushed themselves outside of their comfort zones, tackling instrumental and digital elements for the first time. The Grade 3-6 students should be so proud of their efforts throughout Terms 3 and 4!

The Junior students have been revisiting their shared songs after spending some weeks rehearsing for the Christmas Concert. 'No Buru on the Bus' has allowed the Foundation students to explore songs using First Nations languages in their lyrics, with their pronunciation improving greatly over the term. The Grade 1/2 classes have begun recording their parts, with all the elements coming together over the next few days to create a digital production of 'First Nations People and Animals' presented by the whole level. We can't wait to share!

To warm up, some students have been having a go at 'trace conducting' - so much fun! We have shared an example below, as this is a fantastic activity that students can also do at home.

Warm regards,
