Spanglish Connection

¡Un comienzo maravilloso!

Last domingo we held our very first PFA Spanglish Connection, a lovely initiative inspired by some of our Foundation families who were keen to learn and practice Español alongside their children en casa.

We were encantados to welcome around 30 parents who spent the afternoon chatting, riendo, playing Mexican Lotería and enjoying deliciosas salsas with corn chips kindly prepared by Abner and Alberto.

It was fantástico to hear everyone’s ideas about how these sessions could grow and what families would love to get out of this Spanglish experience. Our goal is simple, crear a warm and welcoming espacio where everyone feels comfortable. No experience is needed, just buena vibra and a willingness to have a go! There were plenty of fun conversations in Spanglish throughout the tarde, and it was clear that everyone had a great time connecting and aprendiendo together.

We will be announcing the date for our next session muy pronto so you can pop it in your calendar. You do not need to speak Spanish, just bring your curiosidad, entusiasmo and ganas to connect with other Newlands parents on a relaxed Sunday afternoon. We would love to see you there!
