International Student Program Term 1

BHSSC international students actively participate in a wide range of events that enrich both their academic and cultural experiences. Through excursions such as visiting Healesville Sanctuary, exploring Australia’s migration history at the Immigration Museum, and enjoying the natural beauty of Hanging Rock, students gain a deeper understanding of Australia’s environment and heritage. In addition, they engage in school-based activities such as orientation programs, sports days, cultural celebrations, city tours, university visits, and community events. These opportunities allow students to build friendships, develop independence, and enhance their language and academic skills while becoming active members of the school community.
While students in the International program at BHSSC have access to activities designed to familirise them with Australia, on a day-to-day basis our students are mixed with local students, to ensure we are one school, with one student body, and learn together.
