Senior School Report

Thank you! To all our fabulous students and families for a terrific start to 2026.
Students have really hit the ground running, and we can see the results of this attitude in both the classroom and around the College. Increases in attendance and teachers’ reports of student engagement in their learning are just two of the positive outcomes resulting from this mindset. Well, done!
This term we have concentrated on the school value of relationships. Focusing on the development of friendships between our local and international students. Activities undertaken during our Pathways lessons have had our students share information about themselves, their families, and cultures. It has been terrific to watch friendships evolve and the laughter has been contagious. The Luna New Year celebrations had students create “Hongbao” ribbons with their hopes and dreams for the year written on them. These were used to decorate our New Year morning tea, with all students enjoying a morning feast!
Our VCE VM students have been busy both in and out of the classroom. They have attended the Melbourne Grand Prix with a view at looking at the organisational needs of putting together a large-scale event. For many, this was their first grand prix experience. The excitement grew as they waited to enter Albert Park and could hear and feel the immense power of the cars as they warmed up. Some students were having so much fun they stayed after dismissal to ensure they did not miss a thing. The group also attended the Melbourne Career’s Expo at The Melbourne Showgrounds and had an opportunity to speak to recruiters and employers in a wide range of areas.
Our school captains Lilla and Amir along with our Year 11 captains Tinashe and Jordan have been busy on several different projects. Raising funds for the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal through an Easter Egg Raffel, Designing a school Mascot competition and the senior school social , to name a few. I will let them fill you in on their busy term in their report.
Once again, thank you to everyone and have a safe and relaxing school holidays
