Assistant Principal's Report

The first term each year is always an exciting time as we welcome new and returning students and families to Box Hill Senior, looking forward to beginning their new learning programs and welcoming the new opportunities which are presented.

Opportunities in leadership, engagement with the community, excursions, events and the formation of new friendships are real highlights we’re privileged to oversee and facilitate. Additionally, the beginning of 2026 has seen new levels of demand and engagement in the VET programs offered by the College. It’s rewarding to see students invested in these practical courses which provide tangible, real-life learning and direction for its participants.

We thank the families who took the time to meet with the staff at both the annual “Meet & Greet” evening and the end-of-term Student Progress Conferences. The feedback we receive from families is paramount to looking at ways we can continue to improve the experience for our student cohort.

Congratulations to all our talented artists who submitted an entry for the new BHSSC mascot competition and to our student athletes who represented the College with distinction in 3v3 basketball, tennis and volleyball this term.

We trust all students have used this term to fully settle into their programs and set a strong foundation for a successful 2026.
