PARENT REPRESENTATIVES

The Annual General Meeting of the Parents and Friends Association of the School Council will be held on Monday, 18 August.
Further information about the AGM can be read in our last newsletter.
During the AGM we will be electing four parent representatives to the School Council.
A short biography about each person with a current nomination is listed below.
Jeremy Mackinnon
Jeremy Mackinnon is newly nominating for a position on the School Council.
With an executive role in a state secondary school, Jeremy brings years of hands-on experience in school governance, leadership, and educational development. Jeremy, along with his wife Bianca, have four children who attend the school and all are proud members of the BHCS community. Having recently moved to the area, they chose the school for its strong Christian values and outstanding educational programs. Jeremy and his family are members of Hope in the Hills Christian Church, having recently transitioned from Compass Church in Bentleigh after over a decade of active involvement.
As a member of the School Council, Jeremy promises to bring not only his wealth of knowledge regarding school governance but will also use his excellent interpersonal skills to work with the other members of Council in fulfilling its obligations. Jeremy will utilise his great sense of objectivity to always advocate for what he believes to be in the best interest of the school and its community.
Caroline Chudasko
Caroline is seeking renomination to remain on the School Council so she can continue to actively and positively contribute to the school’s ongoing development and growth. Caroline has been on Council since 2022. Caroline has two children who attend Belgrave Heights Christian School. Caroline and her husband chose BHCS for their children as they wholeheartedly believe and support the ethos and Christian values of the school. Both value the dedication and Christian influence that Christian staff provide to students, giving them the opportunity to learn about and enhance their relationship with God. With a career background in Human Resources and school Office Management, Caroline has skills in both relationship building and business. These skills coupled with her faith can be applied to a School Council role, as the Council strives to ensure Belgrave Heights Christian school maintains and excels in providing the highest standard of Christian education.
Amanda Wight
Amanda is renominating and has been on the School Council and has been a member for the last 10 years. Amanda serves as a leading member of Pulse. Amanda has completed a double degree in Commerce /Arts at Deakin University. It was her days at a little Christian school in Adelaide, however, that she is most thankful for. She believes that they gave her a beautiful and nurturing introduction to education. Amanda and her husband Tim have made the education of their four children in a Christian school (BHCS) a priority. They love that God is the centre of our school and that staff frequently go above and beyond and that BHCS not only promotes positivity, but also actively seeks to grow Christian schooling. Amanda considers it both a blessing and a privilege to watch the children grow and flourish at Belgrave Heights. Amanda and her family attend Resound Church in Scoresby.
Maré Peterson
Maré is renominating and has been on Council since the end of 2024. She is a committed Christian and is married to Tyrone. Together they have three children, one of whom currently attends BHCS. Maré is the Kids Team Leader at Hills Church in Ferntree Gully and the church’s Operations Manager. She also works as a Team Leader at Hills’ Op Shop. Maré has business experience and is good with her hands and is grateful for the opportunities that God has provided for her and her family. Maré and her family love being part of the school community, believing that BHCS strives for a good strong Christian foundation, upholding God in the highest honour. She believes that being part of the School Council is a great opportunity to get involved in the school. Maré’s desire is to support the school and the parent community and serve in whatever capacity she can.
