Planting Update - Trees for Schools Program

The Green Team have been busy decorating tree guards for the past few weeks, in order to prepare for a successful planting day that took place on Friday 22nd August. We planted approximately 45 trees in the Inclusive Play Space garden beds and near the old gate next to the Performing Arts Hall. These trees were given to us by Greater Western Water (GWW) as part of their ‘Trees for Schools’ Program. We would like to thank the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action and GWW for providing us with the trees, stakes and tree guards.

We ask that students and members of our school community please take care of the plants by being careful where you walk, especially near the old entrance gate near the Performing Arts Hall. The Green Team will water these trees and maintain the stakes and tree guards, let’s hope for a 100% survival rate. If you notice anything or have some feedback for us, please talk to any Green Team Student or teacher leader.
