Book Week Dress-up Day

Paddington Bear? Yes indeed. Pippi Longstocking? Absolutely. Ninja Kid, Thelma the Unicorn, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? Yep, yep, yep! Harry Potter...? Of course!

Essendon North Primary School had them all and more at our Book Week Dress-up Day! It was fantastic to see students and staff celebrate the wonderful world of books and appear as their favourite character last Friday. Our community really embraced this year's 'Book an Adventure' theme, sourced lots of great materials and assembled magnificent costumes. We're always blown away by the passion and creativity demonstrated on this day as part of our Book Week celebrations, and just love seeing the array of characters gather together at assembly!

Well done to all involved, special thanks to Sandra Magro for volunteering in the library for Book Week and her story-time display for Dress-up Day, and to the many families for kindly sharing photos of their child/ren in costume! Please enjoy the beautiful gallery below.
