Year 9 & 10

It has been another exciting fortnight in the Middle School, with our students continuing to make the most of the opportunities available to them both inside and outside the classroom. I want to take this chance to share some highlights that showcase the talent, resilience, and community spirit of our Year 9 and 10 students.

Chess Tournament Success

Year 9 Gold Coast Camp

The Year 9 Camp to the Gold Coast occurred last week and provided our students with the chance to challenge themselves, strengthen friendships, and enjoy a wide range of fun and memorable experiences. From outdoor adventure activities that built teamwork and resilience, to theme park visits that created excitement and laughter, the camp was a wonderful opportunity for students to grow in independence and confidence while celebrating their Year 9 journey together.

A huge thank you to the staff who gave their time and energy to ensure this camp was such a success: Ms Balassone, Ms Lam, Ms Campbell, Mr Quail, Mr Bullen, Mr Janevski, Mr Alhawat, and Ms Kulenthran.

Year 9 Mock Interviews

This week, our Year 9 students will take part in their Mock Interviews, an important opportunity to develop confidence and prepare for their very first formal interview experiences. These sessions allow students to practise communication, reflect on their strengths, and receive feedback in a supportive environment that will serve them well in their future pathways.

I would like to sincerely thank Ms Charalambous for her work in coordinating this valuable learning experience. Her efforts ensure that our students are not only prepared academically but are also building the life skills needed beyond school.

As always, I am incredibly proud of the way our Middle School students take on challenges, represent our college, and support each other. With achievements like these, they continue to show what is possible when they step forward with confidence and a willingness to grow.
