On Tuesday, our Stage 2 students competed in the Todd Woodbridge Cup, with 19 Year 3/4 students representing Trinity across two teams. Each match featured four girls and four boys on court, showcasing great teamwork and skill.
It was a fantastic day of tennis, with the Trinity A team finishing second after a hard-fought final against Scots. Special mention goes to Ezra Gooding and Lennox Thorneycroft for their outstanding performances. This strong result means the team now progresses to the Regional Final in Wagga later this term - congratulations to all!
Next week, our Stage 3 students will have their turn in the competition, and we wish them every success.
The Primary School AFL Championships wrapped up over the weekend, with our standout Year 6 representative, Duke Leslie, and Coach Kade Stevens proudly flying the flag for Trinity and New South Wales.
Facing tough competition from powerhouse teams in Victoria and South Australia, the NSW side finished an impressive 5th overall, sealing their campaign with a dominant 78–0 win over the ACT.
Coach Stevens praised Duke’s outstanding performance, noting that his best game came against the strongest opposition — when others backed away from the challenge, Duke stood tall.
To cap off a great week, New South Wales was awarded the prestigious Richard Newman Award, recognising the team that best demonstrated sportsmanship and fair play as voted by all states.
Week 2 of the Basketball NSW Talented Athlete Program (TAP) Camp wrapped up this week, with Year 6 and 7 students Milla Lowe, Ayira Ezekwe, Louie Menz, and Charlie Bayliss taking part.
Selected among the top 25 country players in their age group, our students spent the week immersed in high-performance coaching and gained valuable insights through recovery, nutrition, and performance seminars.
