Science Inquiry Excursion to Healesville Sanctuary

On Thursday the 14th of August, as part of Science Inquiry’s Environmental Science Unit, the four classes spent the day at Healesville Sanctuary tackling real conservation challenges. Students worked with sanctuary staff to see how habitats have changed over time, learned about species such as the Orange-bellied Parrot and the Leadbeater’s Possum, and used STEM to design new solutions, including nesting-box prototypes. The students also had the change to explore the sanctuary and meet all of the wonderful native species that live there.
