Early Learning

Frankston

Dear McClelland College Community,

Welcome to our first Early Learning Victoria Frankston (interim name) news update.

I am sure over the last few months you have been watching the construction of our new early learning centre and kinder going up next to your school.

I would like to start off by introducing myself. I am Rachel, and I am the Centre Director of Early Learning Victoria Frankston. I have extensive experience in the early childhood and education sector managing early learning and integrated kindergartens for around 15 years along with overseeing multiple services at times and owning my own service.

We are one of the first early learning centres in Victoria to be Government owned and operated. Early Learning Victoria’s aim is to have each centre co-located on a school site. We are particularly excited to be opening in such a wonderful location as we are currently the only centre opening on senior school site and have Ballam Park Primary School located next to you.

At Early Learning Victoria Frankston we are committed to supporting the community, families and children. Laura and I have had some great conversations on how we can integrate some wonderful programs to work together. We are excited by the many wonderful and endless possibilities that will grow over the years.

We will also be working with local services that can offer support to the local community to work on site with us in our consulting rooms for child and family services, immunisations and allied health. We also have a community room for playgroups, community meetings, support groups, family and parenting sessions.

I am looking forward to getting to know all of you and once we are open for tours I can arrange some times for you to come and have a look around to see the final result.

Enrolments

In September I will be reaching out via phone and email to offer places to families on the waiting list. If you do know anyone who is looking for long day care or 3 year old or 4 year old kindergarten next year they can register here

Community Events

If you are out in the community please pop by and see us at the Children’s Week event on the 22nd of October at Jubilee Park.

We are always happy to attend events to meet with the local community, so if you know of any other upcoming activities don’t hesitate to get in touch.
