Ecolinc Y12 Chemistry and Environmental Science

On the 29th of July our Year 12 Chemistry and Environmental Science classes visited Ecolinc for a day of hands-on science. Chemistry students used industry-standard instruments to identify organic compounds and measure the active ingredients in common painkillers. While the Environmental Science students investigated CO₂ and climate—using thermal cameras to see how it traps heat and modelling its impact on ocean acidity. Students left with stronger practical skills and a clear view of science in the real world.
