Preschool Outcomes Measure

Our school will be participating in a trial of a new tool called the Preschool Outcomes Measure. This tool is designed to help teachers better understand a child’s learning and development in Kindergarten. It focuses on a child’s language and problem-solving skills.

The trial is part of a National Applied Trial being conducted in schools across all states and territories, aimed at improving educational outcomes for children in the year before full-time school.

Only some kindergarten children may be invited to take part in the trial. If selected, your child will participate in a range of familiar classroom activities as part of the process.

To find out more about the Preschool Outcomes Measure and the National Applied Trial, please read the fact sheet sent out via EdSmart, or ask your child’s teacher.

Parents, you have been sent a survey about the possibility of starting Before & After School Care on the Burnie Campus. We would appreciate you taking a minute or two, to complete the survey  if this option may be something that would support your family.
