Word of the Week
Students are encouraged to continually use the "Word of the Week" in context during class, expanding their oral language skills, one word at a time! Each time a student uses our 'Word of the Week' in the classroom, they will earn a point. The student with the most points at the end of the term will receive a book prize to further expand their vocabulary.
We will publish our Word of the Week on Facebook and in the newsletter. Please encourage and support your child to use this word at home.

Term 3 Infants Leaders
A huge congratulations to our Term 3 Infants Leaders! Each term, new Infants Leaders from Year 2 are selected to be positive role models for our K - 2 students. These students take on important daily tasks for teachers, while consistently demonstrating respect and responsibility in the classroom and on the playground. We are incredibly proud of their commitment and leadership!!

Grandparents' Day - Friday 25th July
One of the happiest and biggest days on our school calendar is Grandparents' Day and this will be celebrated tomorrow Friday 25th July at 10.00am in the Primary Campus Hall for all students K-6, followed by morning tea on the school grounds. We would love to invite all of our Nans, Pops, Grandmothers and Grandfathers to come along and join us on this special day where we have the opportunity to celebrate and give thanks to God for these wonderful people in our lives.
Celebrate 100 Days of Kindergarten Friday 1st August 8.45am - 9.45am
Our Kindergarten students are soon to reach a significant milestone of completing 100 days of learning at St Edward's. Children are welcome to dress up as a 100-year-old so that we can have a parade to celebrate all of their achievements thus far. In previous years we have had children wear wigs, slippers, hair rollers, walking sticks etc. We hope you can join us for this memorable moment in our Kindergarten journey. Lets make it a day to remember!
St Ed's P & F Meeting - Tuesday 29th July, 5.30pm
Our next St Ed's P & F Meeting will be held in the Primary Campus Staffroom on Tuesday 29th July at 5.30pm. Once again, we warmly welcome all parents and carers to come along and become involved in this important facet of school life, especially any of our new parents! We look forward to seeing you there.
Supervision of Students
A reminder that school commences at 8.45am and ends at 3.00pm.
Please note that supervision of students commences at 8.15am and families are kindly asked not to drop off children before this time. It is not appropriate for children to be at school before this time with no supervision. If your child/ren require care before 8.15am you may like to consider before-school care here at school with Esteem.
Change in Afternoon Routine
If there is any change in your child's afternoon routine, parents and carers are asked to please phone either school office before 2.30pm, thank you.
Application for Extended Leave - 10 days or more
Family holidays and travel are no longer considered under the Exemption from School Procedures. Travel outside of vacation periods is now counted as an absence for statistical purposes. Please contact the school office if your child/ren will be away from school for 10 days or more, as an application form will need to be completed and approved at the discretion of the Principal.
Student Absences
All student absences need to be lodged on the Compass Parent Portal. Due to government legislation, notification of your child's absence must be received no later than 7 days after your child's last day of absence.
