Diocesan Athletics Carnival: Thursday 7th August, 2025
Basketball
Please find lists for the St. Edward’s basketball teams for the Tamworth Basketball Association in 2025 Primary School Comp Two. The draw will be released closer to the starting date of August 7th.
Any new player can purchase their St. Edward’s Basketball uniform from the Canteen (via the Compass App).
We are also still looking for some additional players for a number of teams. If you’d like to sign up, please contact the email below.

Saturday Netball Crazy Hair & Sock Day Saturday 26th July
CrAzY Hair & sock day, helping raise $$$ for The Kids' Cancer Project.
Come in your most colourful socks with your most craziest hairstyle, pop a gold coin donation in one of the tins and help us support this amazing cause. Best dressed prizes and goodies up for grabs.
Penrith Netball
Congratulations to everyone who trialled for the Netball Trip to Penrith. We are fortunate to be able to send 5 teams this year so that everyone who trialled can attend. To enable this to happen, some students will play in a different team to the one they play in on the weekend. Please keep an eye out on compass for an event with more information next week.

Hockey
Friday, July 4th saw Ellie Palmer, Lily Pieper, Pheobe McMahon, Sienna Erich, Ashton Jeffery, Araya Morse and Cooper Self take to the Hockey Field for Tamworth Hockey alongside teams from around NSW for a four-day Carnival at the Tamworth Hockey Fields.
These students showed sportsmanship, friendship, perseverance and teamwork.
They filled in for other NSW teams when needed and took younger players under their wings. This carnival not only showed the skills the children already have, but also helped them to develop new skills all whilst having a blast every game they played.

Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council
The Armidale Diocesan Primary Sports Council is a body representative of the Catholic Education Office, Principals and Sports Coordinators from all Diocesan Primary Schools. The ADPSC offers a pathway for Armidale Diocesan students in most sports.
