Our Grandparents' Day celebrations will be held at the Primary Campus, tomorrow Friday 25th July. We will begin with a Liturgy in the Hall at 10.00am, followed by morning tea in the grounds. We hope you can join us!
Note: Please do not park in the Bus Bay.
Our next Family Mass (K, 3 & 6) will be held on Sunday 27th July at 9.00am to further celebrate our Grandparents with the Parish community. Please mark this date in your calendar.
Our Confirmation date for 2025 is Sunday 19th October (end of Week 1, Term 4). This will be a wonderful chance to gather as a community and to welcome Bishop Murphy to our School and Parish community. Our Information & Enrolment night will be Tuesday, the 19th of August at 5.30pm. Expectations and requirements for the sacrament will be outlined. All candidates and their parents are strongly encouraged to attend. This sacrament is for students in Year 6, who have been baptised and received the sacraments of Confession and First Eucharist.
St Edward's will be celebrating the CBCA Book Week in Week 5 of this term. There will be many different activities held in the libraries during Week 5 to celebrate. This year's CBCA theme is "Book an Adventure". One of our students' most loved events is our annual Book Week Parade. We invite students to come to school dressed as their favourite book character. We also welcome members of our school community to join us in celebrating "Book Week" and see our wonderful students parade in their favourite book character costumes.
Date and times for the 2025 Book Week Parade:
Infants - Thursday 21st August at 8:45am
Primary - Thursday 21st August at 10:00am
We would like to extend a big thank you to all the students who participated in this year’s Students as Authors competition. We are very proud of everyone who submitted a story.
A special congratulations goes to Charlotte Casson (KW) and Harlow Howison (2H), who were each awarded a Commendation in the K–2 age category for their outstanding entries. What an amazing achievement!
Well done to all our young authors—we can’t wait to see what you create next!
Charlotte Casson (KW)
Harlow Howison (2H)
We are very excited to give the students at St Edward’s Primary School the opportunity to participate in the 2025 NSW Premier’s Reading Challenge. This is a proud tradition at St Edward’s, and every student is invited wholeheartedly to participate.
Every student at the Infants Campus will automatically be signed up for the challenge and read books from the challenge as part of their class and library sessions.
Primary students wanting to participate in this year's challenge will need to see Mrs Michell in the library to sign up.
Login details will be handed out to all primary students who are participating in this year's challenge. If your child has not received their login details, please ask them to come and see Mrs Michell in the library or email cmichell@arm.catholic.edu.au
Students can start logging their books today using this link
https://online.education.nsw.gov.au/prc/studentExperience.html#/
Students are encouraged to log onto the PRC website from home to log their books, or Mrs Michell can log them in the library. Students should now start to log books they have read and also discover books that are part of the PRC using the link above. If you have any problems with logging books or access, please reach out.
The Challenge runs until Friday 22nd August, 2025. Students can join at any time, but the end date remains the same.
PLEASE NOTE!! Any books on the list that your child has read (or you have read to your child for K - 2) over the summer holidays can be counted for this year’s Challenge.
We encourage students to continue reading during the school holidays. St Edward's students have access to SORA, an online library offering a wide range of eBooks, audiobooks, and magazines. To log in from home, students will need their school email address and password, which can be obtained from their teacher. Below are instructions for logging into SORA.
If you experience any issues, please contact cmichell@arm.catholic.edu.au via email.
