Communication @ TGSHS

Working together for the success of our students

At The Gap State High School, we believe that respectful and collaborative communication is essential to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. We encourage all members of our school community—students, parents, and staff—to engage with one another in a spirit of mutual respect, understanding, and kindness.

If you or your student have any concerns about their academic or social wellbeing, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your students’ teachers or Head of Year. We are committed to listening and will ensure your concerns are addressed directly or referred to the appropriate team member.

We recognise that in a busy school environment, communication can sometimes miss the mark—whether due to human error or outdated contact details. If you ever have concerns about lack of contact, please phone administration and we can ensure that your message is relayed to the correct Department as soon as possible.

Please see below our Communication Guide which outlines different communication platforms that are used here at The Gap State High School.  The Gap State High School employs a variety of communication methods to provide timely, relevant, and accessible information to parents and caregivers. Below are the types of communication that is used between the school and the community along with the purpose of these.
