Celebrating Excellence – Joshua Cathie 

We are incredibly proud to announce that our Year 12 School Captain, Joshua Cathie, has been awarded the Minister’s Award for Excellence in Student Achievement. The award was presented on Monday, 4 August, at the beautiful Sydney Town Hall.

Joshua was joined by his proud parents, Louise and Matthew, who travelled with him to witness this special moment, along with Inverell High School’s Deputy Principal Inclusion and Support, Karina Hutchings

 

 

 

 

 

Award Citation:

"Joshua Cathie is an exemplary Year 12 student, known for his academic excellence, leadership and community contributions. He consistently achieves top results in Advanced English and Mathematics, earning the Principal's Excellence Award each year. As School Captain, Chairman of the Inverell Youth Advisory Council, and a senior member of the Australian Air Force Cadets, Joshua was honoured with the Inverell Young Citizen Australia Day Award. He leads key community initiatives like the Festival Colour Run and charity fundraisers. A talented sportsman, dedicated student and passionate advocate, Joshua exemplifies integrity, responsibility and exceptional leadership."
