Welcome back for Term 3!

Our Primary students have settled back into their school routines beautifully. As for much of this year, our attendance has been impressive. Our parent engagement remains high - we are so grateful for this.

This term serves to be short but very busy time of the year.

In Week 1, our students enjoyed the rt

recent NAIDOC incursion in the Yaluk Gym.

The students learned about the importance of our Acknowledgement of Country and fun we can enjoy playing Marngrook (better known as Aussie Rules of AFL football.

It was great to see several of our parents there who enjoyed the event with their children.

Enjoy some of the photos taken.

In our next edition we will share some photos from our Mini Beast incursion that our students explored a range of creepy crawlies, including a magnificent butterfly tent.

Some thing special.

You may not know but our students are working very hard to prepare their classroom items for the upcoming Primary Sub School Performance to be held on Monday, September 15th. Elishia and Mary are doing a great job  to prepare for a very special event for families to attend. Please look out for the promotional material found in this newsletter and via our social media platforms.

Thank you for your ongoing support and collaboration with us to meet the needs of your child at school. It makes all the difference.

Daniel :)

ROOM 2

Room 2 have had a wonderful first week back at school. Students have enjoyed seeing their friends again and sharing photos about what they did over the holidays. In literacy, students were supported to create sentences about what they did over the break, and they have continued to use the Little Learners Love Literacy program to learn their letter recognition and sounds. In Numeracy, students have begun learning about statistics and probability and for their first lesson they enjoyed collecting data and graphing their favourite ice cream flavour which they then got to enjoy eating. They have enjoyed the specialist classes of Science, Personal & Social, P.E and Music. Students has lots of fun participating in the NAIDOC week footy incursion in the Yaluk hall and practising their concert performance. We are all very excited about the Term ahead and all the things we will be learning.
