The Feast of Christ the King
This Sunday, we will celebrate the feast of Christ the King.
Jesus was brought before Pontius Pilate because the Jewish leaders at that time were afraid of Jesus’ position and his power among the people. Those in authority were threatened by him, so they had him sentenced to death. Despite Jesus’ pleas that he was not a king that belonged in this world, but that he had come to share a kingdom of love, he was silenced. We know that Jesus rose from the dead and in doing so, he showed the world that he is the king of the universe with the power to conquer death and bring everlasting life.
CHRIST IS THE KING OF THE WORLD;
ONE DAY HE WILL COME BACK,
AND WE WILL SEE HIM FULL GLORY.
CHRIST IS THE KING OF THE WORLD.
Live your lives as children of the light.
Do not hide in the darkness, for there is nothing to fear.
Fill your lives with love and goodness, and follow in the footsteps of Jesus.
(Romans 13:12-14)
Kind regards
