Carlsruhe Annexe /

Main Campus - Year 4

The Adventure Has Begun!

Throughout this year, the Carlsruhe students have shown adaptability and resilience and the first day of our Phillip Island Camp was no different!

We may not have managed to organise the best weather for Day 1, but that has not stopped the smiles or the excitement from shining through. After morning tea and a stroll around the Australian Gardens and Cranbourne Botanic Gardens, the next stop was a chance to explore the animals and historical buildings at Churchill Island. Here are a couple of photographs of us getting up close to the cows and horses.

Next, we set off to ‘The Island’ camp at Cowes, settled into our cabins and tried the first of many fun and physical activities. After a yummy dinner, it was time to rug up warm and brave the unseasonably cool spring evening to head out to the penguin parade. We got a little damp but It was all worth it to see the little blue penguins waddle across the beach in front of us!

Day 1 completed and a warm bed to welcome us all back at camp!

The new look Uggy and Peanut.

It is that time of year when Uggy and Peanut need to get some of their woolly coats removed - although, they may not be too pleased with us after today’s weather.

Last Friday, we were lucky enough to have Shane the Shearer pay us a visit at Carlsruhe to help with the process of shearing and drenching our friendly sheep. We would like to give a huge shout-out to Shane for supporting our school and giving his services completely free of charge! Thank you so much, Shane!

Here are some photos of Uggy and Peanut with their new post-shear looks.
