Introducing the 2024 School Captains

This week we sat down with the 2024 School Captains and asked them a few questions about them and being the new school captains for next year.

 

Name: Lacey

What was the main reason you applied for School Captain?

To be a role model for others and help the school be the best it can be.

 

What do you want to bring to the school?

  • Bubblers at the oval
  • A rubbish clean up day (once a month maybe?) 
  • A roof over the basketball court
  • Being open to anyone else's ideas

What three qualities will you bring to the School Captain Team?

Perseverance, Confidence and Being the voice for people who want to be heard

 

 

Name: Alita

What was the main reason you applied for School Captain?

Ever since I came to school I wanted to be school captain and felt that I would be a good leader. I felt like it was a good way to be the voice for the people who didn’t have the confidence.

 

What do you want to bring to the school?

  • Keep the playground with the bridge.
  • Go on more excursions to the city and trips that don’t cost much money.
  • Instead of trying to make the school look more appealing, focus on the things that actually need fixing.

What three qualities will you bring to the School Captain Team?

  • Open minded
  • Realism
  • Confidence

What was the main reason you applied for School Captain?

I've always really wanted a challenge instead of taking the easy way out and being a role model to younger students would be incredible.

 

What do you want to bring to the school?

I feel like I would try to make learning more fun and make more improvements around the school I would try to also make sure that everyone's happy with the old playgrounds that are going to be replaced with new playground 

 

What three qualities will you bring to the School Captain Team?

I feel like I'm a humble, accessible and approachable person and trustworthy

What was the main reason you applied for School Captain?

Because I thought it would be a good opportunity, I want to improve my public speaking and I thought having a responsibility when I'm young would set me up for my future.

 

What do you want to bring to the school?

I want to put a roof on the bike rack because I have experienced a wet seat and it's not nice.

I also want to make the school a happier place for students.

 

What three qualities will you bring to the School Captain Team?

  • Positivity
  • Kindness
  • Perseverance
