Frankston RSL – Remembrance Day service 11/11/23

On Saturday the 11th of November two students from Woodlands, Ruby and Chloe C represented our school by laying a Wreath for the Frankston RSL Remembrance Day service held at Frankston War memorial to honour the servicemen and women and their families. Over 250 people attended the service including Paul Edbrooke MP, Peta Murphy MP and Nathan Conroy Mayor of Frankston.

Mayor Conroy stated that “it was amazing to see primary school children honouring those that have served our beautiful country”. Frankston RSL committee members where very thankful and wanted to express their gratitude to the girls for their support on behalf of the Woodlands community.

Ruby and Chloe both had said they really enjoyed the experience. When asked about the day Ruby stated, “I loved being able to be there for my school to remember the brave people that served our country”. Chloe stated, “It was awesome to be the only school to celebrate the day and I loved doing it with my sister”.

Congratulations and thank you girls for doing us proud, Woodland’s has always been committed to remembering the memories of our servicemen and women and will always continue to honour the efforts and achievements Australian military members provide to keep us safe.
