A Few of Our Favourite Things

Hello adults and kids from Fairfield Primary School. Today we are going to tell you about our favourite things about school.

Favourites from Foundation A

Literacy block is fun because we learn new words like “bulging”.
Learning to read and write is fun in Foundation.
I love doing maths because you get to learn a lot like how to add two numbers together.
It’s awesome doing exploration because you can do craft and make things for your toys. We make things out of boxes and lots of cool stuff.
I like playing on the monkey bars because I can do lots of tricks.

Favourites from Foundation B

I like writing, because we write about the weekend get to learn about poems!
I like playing with my buddy, because he is so funny and fun to play with. Writing because you can write stories and spell words.
I like making books. I like the harder sums we have been learning in maths.
I love building in exploration, my first thing was a rocket, then a car and then a house.
I like writing because you get to do so many things. I like learning about diagraphs.
I love buddies because playing with my buddies is fun. I like Writing because I get to sound out letters.
I like writing lots and lots in free write.

Favourites from Foundation C

I like writing stories because you do like write about creations that you have made.
I like exploration because you get to find new things and like make new things.
I love doing maths because you get to learn to count up to any number.
I like reading because you get to learn words.
I love spending time with my friends at school!
I love writing because we get to do free write and I write about fairytales. I wrote about an angel and I want to teach people to be themselves.

Favourites from Foundation D

In the morning, we will acknowledge the stolen land of the Wurrundjeri people. We like to do this because this is the Wurrundjeri peoples land.

We like doing reading and have learnt so much. We have learnt to read books, the letters and sounds in the alphabet, we have learnt the vowel sounds. At school we have a Sound Wall. It tells us all the sounds we have learned and the letters we have unlocked. We like drawing and writing because we can share about things we have done in our life to other people.

Maths. We like adding up numbers. We can do some activities. We can make a number and then explain the number in different ways.

We like doing Exploration because we can make lots and lots of things like a Dog House, an Aquarium, making books, colourings or a Garage Sale. Also sometimes in Exploration we like to do box construction.

We have specialists which means we do special activities with other teachers. We do RRRR (Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships). We learn about Body Bubbles, we do Talking the Talk.

At school we have special jobs that we can do; line leading, delivering to other grades and also handing out activities. We have liked assemblies under the Fig Tree. We have Year 5 buddies, and we like playing with them and learning with them.
