Principal's Report

Dear Parents, Guardians, and Members of our School Community,

Expressing Gratitude

We had our last school council meeting of the year this week and I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to each member of our School Council for their unwavering commitment, dedication, and hard work throughout the past year. It's through collaborative efforts that we continue to provide an enriching environment for our students.

Welcome to New Educators

I am delighted to announce the addition of two teachers to our school community. Please join me in welcoming Ms. Elana Bradley and Mr. Fiachra Burke. Both bring a wealth of experience and passion to our team, and we are excited about the positive impact they will undoubtedly have on our students' learning journey.

Family BBQ

In the spirit of celebrating our wonderful school community, we invite you to join us for a Family BBQ on Tuesday, the 19th of December, starting at 5:30 pm. This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for families to come together before the holiday season kicks in and gives you an opportunity to meet your child’s teachers and ES staff for next year and to mingle with other families. Pack a picnic rug if you would like and your own drinks. We will supply a sausage sizzle on the night and have our annual animal farm organised by our amazing parent group. This event is a wonderful way to foster a sense of community and connection with your school community.

Car Park

As communicated via Compass, the temporary fencing in the parent carpark has been removed. The safety of our students continues to be our top priority. We kindly request your heightened vigilance when parking and escorting your child into the school premises.

Please take note of the following minor adjustments to our drop-off and pick-up procedures:

  • Parents can still drop off students in their respective classrooms between 8:45 am and 9:00 am.
  • Parents belonging to groups 6, 13, 14, 16, and 17 now have access through the new build walkway, leading directly to your classrooms.
  • The gate outside the new build will be locked from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. Should you arrive late for drop-off or need to collect your child early, please proceed to the school office.
  • When passing through gates, please exercise caution. Ensure that they close properly behind you and do not let any other child through the gate if not accompanied by an adult.
  • Pick-up procedures will remain unchanged.

Your cooperation and attention to these adjustments are greatly appreciated as we maintain a safe environment for all students. If you have any queries or concerns, feel free to contact the school office.

Starting from Monday, I'll be on leave for a duration of two weeks. Should you have any inquiries or concerns during this time, please feel free to reach out to Sandra Battisti or the school office without hesitation.

Kind Regards,

Lindy Abernethy
