SJPPS Got Talent

St Johns Park’s Got Talent Quest 2023

On Wednesday, 6th December, the SRC judged the finals of the talent quest. To get to this point, they had to view over forty auditions and cull to just twenty-eight acts. There were two sessions. The first was a rehearsal for K-3 and the second session was the finals and the judges had to give a score to each finalist out of five with a mandatory decimal point, for example, 4.5. This scoring system was used to eliminate the probability of there being a tie for first place. Life never quite works out the way we envisage with the results blowing the minds of staff and a highly appreciative audience. The results speak for themselves:

Equal 1st place

  • Jonathan, 3K and Madeleine, 4I: energised us with their ‘Hip Hop’ dance
  • AJ, 6C mesmerised us with his Jacky Chan karate moves and breaking a plank with his foot.

2nd Place

  • Maddison-Kate, 5V danced gracefully, with much strength and confidence to ‘Vendetta’.

3rd Place

  • Our outgoing captain Chloe, 5/6S soothed our souls by playing ‘Sacromonte’ on the piano.

Highly commended

  • Josephine with her ‘Nocturne in C# Minor’ piano performance.

A special thank you to our very dedicated SRC who maintained their professionalism throughout the talent quest.

Mrs Simons, Mrs Tran and Miss Heang co-ordinated the event and Miss Kho (finals) and Mr Russo (auditions) assisted as music directors.

Our finalists got to present their talent to their peers and teachers in the hall.  We saw many wonderful talented students perform on the piano as well as sing and dance. Congratulations to all those who participated as well as all the finalists. Thank you to the judges and the teachers who organised this special event for all of us to enjoy.
