Principal's Report

End of Year Assemblies and Graduation.

Our End of Year Assemblies will place this week. All stage assemblies will take place under the COLA, with families of award recipients able to attend the event. Entry to the school should be through Gate 3 (the gate that is closest to Preschool). We continue to follow and encourage COVID-safe measures.

The schedule is as follows:

• Tuesday 12 December - Early Stage 1 Presentation Assembly at 9.30am and Stage 1 Presentation Assembly at 10.30am.
• Thursday 14 December - Stage 3 Presentation Assembly at 9.30am Stage 2 Presentation Assembly at 12.45pm.

We held the Year 6 Graduation Assembly today and their Year 6 Farewell is on this evening. We are sure it will be a wonderful night for our Year 6 students.

Reports

Your child’s End of Year Report will be sent home on Wednesday 13 December. This report will contain information about the progress your child has made this semester. If you would like to discuss any aspect of the report, please contact your child’s teacher or the office to make a time that is mutually convenient.

Staff farewells

At the end of the year we will say farewell to some of our teachers – Mrs Lee, Mr Isho, Miss Huynh, Mrs Do, Miss Susan (Callaghan) and Mrs Mehandru. I would like to thank them for their dedication to teaching their respective classes and/or roles in 2023 and previous years at St Johns Park Public School. 

Important information

The final day of school for students is on Friday 15 December 2023. I want to wish all students a safe and happy holiday. Best wishes to the 2023 Year 6 students as they move into high school in 2024. Best wishes also to students who are not returning to our school next year.

School resumes for students in Years 1-6 on Thursday 1 February 2024. Preschool Purple Group will also begin Thursday 1 February. Kindergarten will begin school on Friday 2 February, 2024.

I’d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone in our St Johns Park Public School community a wonderful festive season and a happy new year. I would like to thank all our families for their support throughout the year. I look forward to working with you in 2024. Best wishes.
