Positive Education Information Night

Over the past two terms, you may have noticed several updates in our newsletter about School-Wide Positive Behaviour. As a staff, we have been working hard to develop the frameworks and processes that will guide this important work, and we are now ready to share it with our community.

We warmly invite all parents and carers to our Information Night on Wednesday 9th October at 6:00pm. Please see Compass for further details.

What to expect:

  • An information session where we share our approach.
  • Pizza afterwards, along with time to chat and ask questions.
  • A focus on the importance of strong school–home connections and the power of working together.

This is an exciting step for our school, and we would love to see as many families as possible join us on the night.

Family Fun Afternoon

It’s here! Same fun, new location.

Our Family Fun Afternoon will be held in the undercover assembly area from 4:00pm – 6:00pm. Student games will run from 4:30pm – 5:30pm.

Bring along a picnic rug or some chairs and enjoy a relaxed afternoon of fun, games, and community connection. Sausages and drinks will be available for purchase on the day.

We look forward to seeing you there - please feel free to stop by for a chat during the afternoon.

Marley Training

Last Friday, our handlers joined Marley for the first day of his Level 1 Visiting Dog course. The training was led by four experts in animal therapy, including animal psychologists, and built on the theory we have been completing over the past two months.

The sessions have been excellent so far, and Marley responded very positively to the training. While he is still some time away from visiting classrooms, he will occasionally spend time in the office as part of his ongoing training, becoming familiar with the sights and sounds of school life.

We look forward to keeping you updated on Marley’s progress.

Flag Poles

We are pleased to share that three new flag poles have been installed in our outdoor assembly area. We are currently awaiting the delivery of our flags and look forward to commemorating important occasions together in this space.

End of Term

I want to thank all of our students, staff, and families for their energy, support, and commitment to our school community.

I wish all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable break. May the two weeks bring plenty of time to recharge and enjoy time together.

Warmly,

Tim Mulhall
