A Spotlight on Springvale Campus

As we come to the end of Term 3, it’s a great opportunity to celebrate the many achievements and highlights of the past nine weeks. From classroom learning to special events, excursions and sporting competitions, the term has been filled with rich opportunities for growth and success. Our students have worked hard across all areas of learning, making steady learning gains and consistently demonstrating respect, collaboration, resilience and excellence. A heartfelt thank you goes to our teachers, support staff and families for their ongoing support and partnership in making these learning experiences possible.

Last week, students on both campuses did a ‘shelter in place’ emergency practice drill. This is a safety procedure where students and staff remain inside the building to protect themselves from a potential hazard outside, such as smoke in the air, severe weather or an incident in the local area. These drills are an important part of our emergency management plan and ensure that, should the need ever arise, our whole school community knows how to respond calmly and safely. The drill was very successful, and we were so proud of how our students listened carefully, followed instructions and took the practice seriously. These routines help build confidence and preparedness, just like our regular evacuation and lockdown drills.

Thank you once again for a fantastic Term 3. We wish all our families a safe and restful break and we look forward to seeing everyone back, refreshed and ready for a big Term 4!
