Keeping children safe online.

Digital Safety and Screen Time: Insights from Inform and Empower

Last week, we had the privilege of hosting Marty and Carley from Inform and Empower, who led a valuable presentation for our parents about children's online presence. As children grow up with easy access to screens from an early age, they can be exposed to both the positive and the negative sides of the vast digital world, including gaming platforms and social media.

Marty and Carley provided an in-depth look at the latest trends in social media, gaming, and the challenges children face online—such as cyberbullying, managing conflicts, and encountering explicit content. The session offered parents a deeper understanding of these issues and empowered them with practical strategies to foster open communication with their children about screen time, online safety, and the importance of age-appropriate platforms.

Congratulations, Matilda (SMCM 2024), on her performance at the St Monica’s “Principal’s Cup for Song”. She sang beautifully and had a great presence on stage.

Matilda won the Principal’s Encouragement Award.

Have a wonderful break.
