Principal's Message

Dear Parents/Carers,
THE JUNGLE BOOK - WHOLE SCHOOL PERFORMANCE
On Wednesday 3rd September 2025, Warrnambool Primary School was thrilled to present our whole-school production of The Jungle Book, with performances at 12pm and 7pm.
Students and staff worked incredibly hard over many weeks to learn lines, songs, and dances, and it was a joy to share their efforts with our school community.
The growth in confidence and teamwork displayed by our students was wonderful to see, and the energy on stage was matched by the excitement in the audience.
A special thank you goes to the Concert Sub-Committee, led so capably by April Sandri, whose organisation and creativity pulled everything together.
We are also deeply grateful to all parents, students, and staff for their support and contributions to making this production such a success.
The Jungle Book will be remembered as a celebration of our school’s talent, teamwork, and community spirit—an experience we will all treasure.
ATTITUDES TO SCHOOL SURVEY 2025
Each year, our Year 4–6 students take part in the Attitudes to School Survey. This important survey captures how life at Warrnambool Primary School feels for them in terms of learning, wellbeing, and inclusion.
Our whole-school values—Respect, Active Learning, and Inclusion—are designed to embrace these vital aspects of student development as children work with their teachers, education support staff, and peers.
The 2025 results are very pleasing across each of these areas. As always, the survey outcomes are compared with those of our local network, schools of similar backgrounds, and the wider state. Our students are clearly telling us that the work being done across our school is giving them genuine opportunities to thrive—and that is ultimately our goal.

FATHER’S DAY STALL
A big thank you to Skye Nichols and our hardworking Fundraising Committee for organising this year’s Father’s Day Stall. Our students had the opportunity to choose and purchase gifts for their dads and father figures, and the excitement in making their selections was wonderful to see.
We are sure the gifts were greatly appreciated as families celebrated on Sunday morning. Thank you once again to everyone who helped make this event such a success.
SCHOOL DISCO AND PIZZA LUNCH
Our Specialist teachers organised a fantastic celebratory disco for all students. The event was a wonderful way to recognise and congratulate our students for their hard work, effort, and dedication throughout what has been an incredibly busy term.
Students enjoyed music, dancing, and time with friends, creating a fun and memorable experience to finish the week. Students then enjoyed a pizza lunch organised by our Fundraising Committee.
A big thank you to our Specialist team for providing such an enjoyable celebration for our school community.
YEAR 2 - READING QUIZ
During each reading unit, Year 2 students complete an online quiz about what they've learnt. Teachers make it even more fun by putting both classes together and running it like a game show. Each correct question gets points and the speed of their answers gets them bonus points. Here are some of our most recent winners.
