Principal's Report

College Values: Respect – Resilience – Responsibility

A quick reminder of our College values, collectively determined by students, families and staff. This month, our focus is on RESPONSIBILITY.

Responsibility means owning your actions and recognising the impact they have on yourself and on those around you. For students, this looks like showing up prepared, meeting deadlines, and giving honest effort, not because someone is watching, but because you take pride in who you are becoming.

It also means being aware of how your words and actions affect your peers. We each play a role in creating a community where everyone feels safe, supported and valued. Looking out for a classmate, speaking up when something isn't right, and being someone others can rely on are all acts of responsibility.

When we take ownership of both our choices and their impact on others, we grow in confidence and self-respect, and we make our College a better place for everyone.

Attendance

Regular school attendance is vital for students to maximise learning, develop crucial social skills and build long-term success. Attending school every day is crucial for academic achievement (literacy/numeracy) and wellbeing. Poor attendance can lead to learning gaps, disengagement and limited future employment opportunities. If you need support with your child’s attendance, please contact the College on 9795 2366.

Magnificent Work of our Education Support Staff

On Monday 18 May, our Education Support staff were acknowledged and celebrated for their outstanding contribution to our College. We are very fortunate to have such a terrific team supporting the care and education of your children and the day-to-day running of our school.

Our Education Support staff, to mention just a few, include our friendly and caring Admin and Finance staff, Wellbeing and Inclusion Team, Tutors, Multicultural Liaison Officers, Library, Science Laboratory and Food Technology staff, Instrumental Music Instructors, and our skilled Facilities and ICT staff.

These are the quietly remarkable people who support our teaching staff so effectively in delivering the curriculum. On behalf of the entire College community, I extend my sincere thanks to our Education Support staff for their significant and valued contribution.

2025 Annual Report

The 2025 Annual Report has been endorsed by both the College Council and the Department of Education. We are pleased to share that we again achieved excellent results compared to state averages and similar schools, a reflection of the dedication of our students, staff and families. A copy of the report is available on the College website for those who would like to read it.

Preparing for Examinations

At this time of year, our students are diligently preparing for their outcomes and exams. It has been wonderful to see students studying in the Library and Senior School Building, attending Homework Club, seeking additional support from teachers, and attending revision classes to ensure they are thoroughly prepared.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish every student the very best for their CATs, SACs and upcoming mid-year exams. I have no doubt their results will reflect the hard work and commitment they have shown throughout the first semester.

Our College community is proud of the way our students approach everything they do, whether that be academic studies, learning a musical instrument, mastering a drama performance, or representing our College in one of our many leadership and sporting programs. Our students and teachers bring great enthusiasm and dedication to all they undertake, and that effort will always be rewarded.

Best wishes,

Pam Robinson
