📢 Join the Ultimate Duolingo School Challenge! 🦉🌍
We are thrilled to announce a brand-new, whole-school language competition designed to bring our community together! Whether you are a seasoned polyglot or just starting your first lesson, every bit of practice helps your team climb the leaderboards.
The Teams: Doubling Up for Victory
To foster a spirit of collaboration, we have grouped our students into Cohort Teams. Two classes will work as one combined force:
- Team AB: (Classes A + B) / Team CD: (Classes C + D) / Team EF: (Classes E + F)
Who Can Play?
This competition is truly a community affair! We invite:
- All Students: Your daily practice is the core of your team’s score.
- Family Members: Parents, siblings, grandparents, and cousins are all welcome to join!
- Supporters: Anyone with a connection to a student in a specific cohort can contribute XP to that team.
Note for Families: If you have students in two different cohorts, you can choose to all support one group, or family members can "split" and join different teams to support both!
How It Works
It’s simple to get involved, and you don’t need to change your existing Duolingo habits if you have any:
- Join Your Class: Create your Duolingo account (if you don’t have one) and then click the link below for your specific cohort and follow the prompts to join the Jose Ortega’s classroom.
- Keep Your Profile: You do not need to create a new account or change your current profile settings.
- Automatic Progress: Any XP you earn in your normal daily lessons will automatically be added to your team’s total on the school ladder.
- No Progress Lost: Joining the classroom group will not reset your current streaks or lesson progress.
