Staff News
It is with a mixture of sadness and excitement that we say farewell to Ella Wildman at the end of this term. Ella has been a wonderful contributor to our Administration Team and our Belong and Blossom playgroup at Pilgrim School. We will miss her warm smile and enthusiasm, but we are excited to hear about her next adventure in life as she and her husband (Mr Wildman) head overseas and then look to grow their photography and videography business. Thanks for the energy and care you have brought to our school Ella!
Easter Celebration
On Thursday 10th April (Week 11), Pilgrim School is excited to join with Emmaus Christian College (South Plympton and Brooklyn Park campuses) for a special Easter Celebration Service at the South Plympton campus. Families need to provide permission for their child to attend this excursion through the Compass App or Portal.
This is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen our partnership with Emmaus and come together in faith as a community. Families are warmly invited to join us as we celebrate the hope and joy of Easter in unity. The service will be from 10am - 11am and parents are welcome to attend by joining us there at 10am (7 Lynton Avenue, South Plympton).
Casual Day
On Friday 4th April (Week 10) we are holding a casual day and the money raised will go towards supporting the welfare of animals at the RSPCA as chosen by our Student Representative Team.
A donation is requested from each student. Please use the Qkr! app for donations or cash on the day. The donation option is already open in Qkr! and will remain open until the end of the term.
Normal standards for hair and jewellery apply and footwear needs to be appropriate for normal class activities, including fitness (not slippers, thongs or slip ons).
Thank you for your support.

2024 Yearbook
We have just received copies of the 2024 Yearbook from our printing company. Today, families with students enrolled in 2024 will receive their copy via the eldest child in the family.
Uniform Update
We will no longer be selling boys' summer and winter shirts, girl's summer dresses and woollen jumpers without the Campus logo in our second-hand uniform pool (as these uniform items were updated a number of years ago to include the logo). If you still have these items without logos, students can continue wearing them but you will no longer be able to submit them to the second-hand pool.
Parent Teacher Conferences
We will be holding Parent Teacher Conferences (formerly referred to as 'Parent Teacher Interviews') at the end of this term. Please login to the Compass App or Portal and click on the note about booking a Conference time or click on the 'Conference' tile. You can then choose your child and your chosen time for attending a conference to book.
Conferences are 15 minutes and will be held in the Performing Arts Centre. We remind you to please not bring your children to the conferences.
Our teaching team look forward to connecting with you and discussing your child’s progress with two opportunities during Week 11:
- Tuesday 7th April 3.30pm – 8.00pm
- Thursday 9th April 3.30pm – 6.00pm
Please note: Year 1/2O families have been sent an email with dates of their Parent Teacher Conferences which will be held on Monday 31st March and Wednesday 2nd April in the Meeting Room at Pilgrim School.
If you have specific questions or concerns you would like to discuss with your child's class teacher, please use the following link.
New Families' Dinner
Under the twinkling lights, we sat and shared a lovely meal provided by the Year 3 class parents of Pilgrim. The dessert was a real treat! We had many laughs around the table as we connected with stories about our families and what is special about Pilgrim.
It was a chance to get to know new families, for staff to share a little about themselves and for Andrew Edmondson to share the wisdom of Bluey! How we could all relate to that.
It was a special night for all and thank you again to the Year 3 team led by Bronwyn and Leah for catering, serving, setting and packing up. We so appreciate the time and effort our families put in to make this a memorable welcome for new families.

Belong and Blossom Playgroup
Belong and Blossom occurs on an option of Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.00am - 10.45am, during term time of school. To register please contact the Front Office, so you can receive our weekly emails letting you know about the week ahead.
This is a time to connect with other parents and for your child to begin their connection with Pilgrim and some of the teachers in the Early Years team. We have story, craft and play times. We share fruit together and end our session with a story and some songs.
