Junior Swimming Carnival
Our sporting year began with a splash as we dove into our swimming carnival on Wednesday 12 February at the Clarence Aquatic Centre. Congratulations to all our students for their enthusiastic participation! It was wonderful to see so many students actively contribute valuable points to their Houses, demonstrating great House spirit, camaraderie and having fun.
A heartfelt thank you to all staff members; your dedication and hard work are truly appreciated.
A special congratulations to our overall House winner, College, for earning the Baragar Edwards Shield for 2025, and to Manresa for winning the Spirit Award.

Round 3 of our JSSATIS soccer roster will take place this week. Good luck to all teams participating and as always, a huge thank you to those parents and carers who have given up their time to take charge of a team.

The Flippa Ball roster commenced last Sunday – good luck to all teams in the roster. We also have the two Basketball Tasmania Primary Schools’ tournaments taking place in late March and early April.
Keep your eye out for Term 2 sports registration information in the coming weeks. Please be mindful: only register your child if they can fully commit to the roster and if you have any questions, please ask before you register.

Senior Athletics Carnival | Fun, competition and House spirit abound!
House pride was on full display at the Domain Athletic Centre for our annual Year 7-12 Athletics Carnival on Friday 21 February.
Excitement and anticipation gripped the air as the students arrived in their vibrant House colours, ready to put their best foot forward on the track and sporting field.
While the carnival was packed with highlights, including several stand-out performances and personal bests, it was fantastic to see all students embracing the spirit of the day, working hard to earn points for their Houses, cheering on their peers and tackling each event with a smile on their faces.
In addition to the variety of track and field events, the 'fun zone' was a hit, featuring hilarious novelty races like the tug of war, rubber chicken toss, sack races and a blindfolded obstacle course, keeping the laughter and good times rolling.
Congratulations and well done to all students for participating in the carnival. A special shout-out to our Sport and House Prefects for fostering an inspiring, supportive and positive atmosphere.
A big thank you to all staff who ran events, supervised and encouraged our students, our Learning Leader of HPE, Mrs Sarah Matsouris, for being the backbone of the day, our Maintenance department for setting up and packing equipment, and the onsite crews for providing food and drinks.
