Year 8 Food Technology: Breakfast on the Go!

 

The last couple of weeks has seen Year 8 students explored the importance of a nutritious breakfast. They made breakfast on the go exploring different methods of making eggs and accompanying ingredients. Students were focusing on fibre, protein, and healthy fats and compared the cost savings and health benefits of homemade vs take away options.

 

Students also analysed popular breakfast cereals, evaluating sugar, fibre and protein content using the Nutritional Information Panel and evaluated the best options. This helped them make informed food choices.
