Year 3/4L STEAM Activity – Building a Ramp

Teamwork and Top Results!

All students in Year 3/4L have participated in a STEAM team activity that required negotiations, sharing ideas, listening, drawing, designing and building a ramp made of newspaper. Each group had two attempts at this construction and all found they had areas they wanted to improve for the second attempt. The incentive of course was seeing how far a toy car would go!

When it came time to test the designs, there was alot of cheering for each team, which was fantastic to see.

It was a wonderful experience for all and there was excellent cooperation and teamwork skills employed. I was enormously proud of all the students and their ability to negotiate and redesign to create a rewarding outcome.
