Visual Art

This week the Year 11 Visual Art students created reduction monotype prints for the first time.

The reduction monotype print process is a form of printmaking that involves covering a surface with ink, and then removing ink in certain  areas using rags, paintbrushes and other materials to create an image. The plate is then pushed through the printing press which transfers the image onto paper.

The students worked from their own images, and picked up the process quite fast! We had some fantastic outcomes by the end of the lessons.
