Hands on Learning

Golden Shovel Award Recipients

It was a productive week in week 5 at Hands on Learning. Golden shovel recipients Matt Bridger & Xavier Bassett, both worked consistently across the day. Many hands make light work, 8D students helping out with Ga-Ga ball pit construction.

Golden shovel winner in week 6 was Peter Hanley. (another amazing performance from Pete, could be the shovel winner everyday)

Projects including jigsaw board for Hub, medieval shield and Johns meeting table. Expectations from the students today (what they need from Peter and I ) respect, New things, Helpful, Kind, Grateful and a father figure.

Golden shovel recipient in week 7 (voted by his peers) was Max. How a change in environment can bring out their very best.

Bottle & Can Recycling Fundraiser

Did you know that 53% of plastic bottles end up in landfill?

12% of plastic bottles end up in our environment where they contribute to the 130,000 tonnes of plastic leaked into Australia's marine environment each year.

Wangaratta High School have started recycling plastic bottles and drinking cans, with proceeds from the initiative being put back into our school and supporting worthy school projects.
