YEAR 12 HSC SUPPORT PACKS

As students in Year 12 prepare for their HSC exams, primary schools in the area also prepare support packs for them which is always received with so much gratitude by the students.

These packs will contain a thoughtful card prepared by students and their families, prayer cards, treats and a gift provided by Sydney Catholic Schools.

This year we are assigned one homeroom from Marcellin College Randwick.

I am looking for 23 families to volunteer.

If you are interested to partake in this wonderful initiative, please sign up on this google form: https://forms.gle/9LwheA4HPJi8WSpL8

This initiative introduces students to St. Carlo Acutis, the first Millenial saint through three comic books on the life of Carlo and Eucharistic Miracles.

Through this initiative students deepen their understanding as to why the Eucharist is special and they also learn about eucharistic miracles. They will learn about adoration and will be inspired by Carlo's love for God.

On June 25 there will be a Mass and reception of the relic of St. Carlo Acutis at St. Mary’s Cathedral. The Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Anthony Fisher OP and co-celebrated by Bishop Richard Umbers, Monsignor Anthony Figueiredo (Assisi) and priests of the Archdiocese of Sydney. Following the Mass, Monsignor Figueiredo will offer a time of catechesis, after which there will be an opportunity for veneration and prayer before the relic.

This is an open event, with SCS teachers, staff, students and parents warmly invited to attend. Given the significance of this occasion, it is expected to be well attended. Attendees are therefore encouraged to arrive early to secure seating. The Cathedral will remain open until 9:00pm. Following the Mass the relic of St Carlo Acutis will commence a national tour across Australia.

In the words of St Carlo Acutis: “No Io Ma Dio” – “Not me, but God.”

Thank you and God Bless!

Kind regards,
