On Tuesday, Year 2 went to the Australian Museum to learn and discover information about dinosaurs.
First we went to a room where the guides taught us about different dinosaurs and showed us fossils which can either be bones or footprints. We then pretended to be paleontologists and had to find different items like shells, feathers, claws, teeth and bottle caps in sand.
Afterwards, we went to an area with lots of birds and saw a model of a seagull and ostrich. This then led us to the dinosaur room where we saw a Brachiosaurus and the heart of a T-Rex! We took a photo in front of the big T-Rex and then we created and coloured our own dinosaur.
We ended this awesome excursion at the park where we enjoyed our lunch and ran around before heading back to school.

On Monday Year 3 and Year 4 students enjoyed a special opportunity to watch a performance of The Wizard of Oz presented by talented students from our local high schools, Corpus Christi, OLSH and Marcellin.
It was a wonderful experience that allowed our students to appreciate the Creative Arts and enjoy being part of a live audience.

The Amadeus Concert took place today and students in Years 3-6 were excited to showcase what they have learnt over Terms 1 and 2 during tutorials and ensemble lessons.
Here are a few snapshots of the students in action!

On Thursday, we had preschoolers visit St Aidan’s to see what ‘big school’ is like. They visited our library, art room and completed a range of fun activities in the Kindergarten classroom.
