Colder weather and shorter days always make it harder to get out of bed in the mornings.  And, no doubt, for both parents and kids, the scaffolding and temporary fences around the school, and the access limitations that have resulted, have added to the term two winter blues! 

The good news is that the new sports and performing arts centre, the library, and the roof repair work are almost complete.  Access restrictions are expected to continue into the first few weeks of term three but will diminish between now and then as different elements of construction is completed. 

We’re very excited for the opening of the new sports and performing arts centre planned for 4.30pm on Thursday 30 July.  Various cultural and sporting performances are planned, drinks and food will be provided, and, as well as an official opening of the new building, we will be presenting the masterplan for the school’s grounds and announcing additional grounds works – to be completed over the next two holiday periods – to really enhance the environment of the school. 

We are grateful for everyone’s patience, especially the kids’, as this construction work has been completed. The benefits of this work are close at hand.  We hope to see you all at the opening event on 30 July so we can celebrate together!
