Waste Warriors

At Burwood East Primary School, we are proud to see so many of our students stepping up and making a real difference in our school community! 🌱✨
We continue to encourage every student to take responsibility for their environment and understand the positive impact they can have. Something as simple as picking up rubbish — even if it isn’t theirs — helps keep our school clean, safe and beautiful for everyone. Small actions truly make a BIG difference!
Our teachers are once again on the lookout for our incredible ‘Waste Warriors’ — students who take initiative, show leadership, and set a fantastic example for others by collecting rubbish around the school grounds. These students demonstrate pride in their school and care for their community, and we love celebrating their efforts in the Buzz newsletter and during assembly where they will receive a values wrist band!
Check out the photos below of some of our amazing Waste Warriors in action in the playground. We are so proud of the way they are leading the charge and helping to keep BEPS shining bright! 🌟
WASTE WARRIOR TERM 2 CHAMPIONS
This term we have had so many new waste warrior recruits! A huge shout-out to the incredible students who have consistently demonstrated what it means to be a true Waste Warrior throughout the term! These students have gone above and beyond in caring for our environment, setting a fantastic example for others, and earning multiple Waste Warrior wristbands at assembly more than 5 times this term.
Their commitment, responsibility, and positive actions have not gone unnoticed. As a special recognition of their outstanding efforts, these students will be receiving a Waste Warrior Certificate!
