As Term 3 draws to a close, our campus has been alive with energy, ambition, and the unmistakable hum of students striving toward their goals. Whether it’s the Year 11 students stepping into leadership interviews for the 2026 Captain roles, the athletes giving their all, in team trials, or the performers who lit up the stage in our recent musical, we’ve seen countless examples of courage, commitment and self-belief in action.
These moments—whether they end in selection, applause, or quiet personal growth—are all forms of success. At GNLC, we believe that success isn’t measured solely by outcomes but by the character built along the way. It’s in the student who studies diligently for exams, the one who tries out for a team despite nerves, and the one who dares to sing the solo. These are acts of bravery. These are victories.
As we look ahead to Term 4 and the exam season for many of our students, I encourage families to continue nurturing this mindset. Academic achievement, sporting triumphs, and artistic excellence are all worthy pursuits, but they flourish best when grounded in a belief in oneself and supported by a community that values effort over perfection.
Supporting Your Child Through Challenges
Parents often want to know how their child fared—whether they passed, got picked or made mistakes. But sometimes, the most powerful support comes from asking different questions:
These questions open the door to reflection, reassurance and resilience. They remind our young people that their worth isn’t tied to a result, but to who they are and how they grow.
A Word of Encouragement from Scripture
As we journey together through the highs and lows of school life, let us hold onto the words of Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”
This verse reminds us that our strength comes not only from within, but from a loving God who walks beside us in every challenge and triumph.
Thank you for your continued partnership in shaping young lives with faith, courage, and compassion. May the upcoming term bring renewed focus, joyful moments and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing we are never alone in our journey.
