Term 3 Week 10
Dear Parents and Carers,
Infants Liturgy
On Wednesday this week our Infants students travelled down to St Nicholas Church for their Term 3 Liturgy. This was a special occasion as normally our liturgies and whole school masses are celebrated at school where we can all fit in together. Fr. Chris was delighted to see all our Infants students together in the Church, where their creative responses to questions in his homily, along with enthusiastic singing, created a joyous atmosphere that our students, staff and parents loved being a part of.
I would like to thank Renee Dunst for organising the Liturgy and also Fr Chris for taking time out of his busy schedule to celebrate the Liturgy with us.
A MESSAGE FROM OUR BISHOP
"Safeguarding is at the heart of the mission of the Diocese of Armidale.
We stand to protect the most vulnerable, including children and adults at risk, and ensure this commitment is lived in all our parishes, in all our ministries and at all levels. This is not just because of our important legal, moral and spiritual responsibility, but because it goes to the very foundations of the teachings of Christ and is fundamental to human flourishing and development.
Where this has not been fulfilled, we sincerely offer our deepest apologies. With your help, we are committed to building a safe, nurturing Church where all may live and experience the true Gospel of Jesus Christ."
Bishop Peter Murphy
Enjoy a restful break
As the school holidays approach, we all look forward to a break from the usual routine. It's a time for rest and relaxation, but it's also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect as a family. In our busy lives, juggling school, work, and extracurricular activities, dedicated family time can sometimes take a backseat. The holidays offer a chance to press pause and be present with one another.
Spending time together doesn’t have to mean expensive trips or elaborate plans. Simple moments often are the most effective. Whether it's a family board game night, a walk in the park or simply sitting down to watch a movie, these shared experiences strengthen bonds and provide a sense of security and belonging for children.
This holiday break, we encourage you to prioritize these moments. Put down your phones, turn off the TV, and engage with your children. Ask them about their day, what they’re excited about, and what they want to do. These conversations and shared activities build a foundation of trust and open communication that will benefit our families long after the holidays are over.
Have a restful and well deserved holiday everyone. We hope you all come back recharged and ready to hit the ground running in what will be a very busy Term 4.
