Stage 6 Ancient History
Preliminary Ancient History had the opportunity to consolidate their lessons on Celtic Culture by making some Celtic Knot cookies. The students had lots of fun, but suffice to say, some may need a little more experience in the kitchen so they don’t burn their cookies in the future!
Year 12 Ancient History have just completed their unit of study on the first emperor of Rome - Augustus. Their final lesson saw the students re-enact his funeral procession, complete with mourners, an effigy, eulogies and a lament. Someone even spotted a Kookaburra/Eagle ascend to the heavens, representing the deification of Augustus. It was a great way to envisage what Augustus’ actual funeral would have been like more than 2,000 years ago. Now it is time to revise and prepare for the upcoming HSC. We wish them the best of luck in this endeavour.

Stage 6 Society & Culture
The biggest congratulations to the cohort of 2025 and the submission of their major work, the Personal Interest Project (PIP). This class worked tirelessly to produce a range of different projects across the last ten months - celebrated of course, with cake! Endless hours of collecting and synthesising research led to submission on Monday of Week 3. Well done to this incredible group! I wish them the best of luck in revising for their HSC and entering the world post-life at EHS.
Well done Year 12!
